Real astronomy

Your chart starts where the planets really were

Every planet position here is computed from established astronomical theory, then corrected using reference tables we built and tested against the public data from NASA's JPL Horizons ephemeris system.

Tested accuracy:in our own tests over 1900 to 2100 (20 dates per body), our positions for the ten classic bodies differed from NASA's public JPL Horizons data by about 0.06″ on average, from under 0.001″ for the Sun and Mars to 0.36″ for the Moon. We use NASA's public data as a reference only.

Every report uses the 10 classic planets and points, tested against NASA's public data as described above. Of the extended points, Chiron and the four asteroids are tested the same way; the Nodes, Black Moon Lilith, Part of Fortune and Vertex are calculated points that NASA does not publish.
